Every year we get to the last day of the season and think, “where did the time go?” It’s no different this year as we end our 73rd season, and we want to say thank you for making 2018 a huge success for us. We always find this time of year bittersweet. It is a great time for our cast members to get some much needed rest, but it means that we have to say goodbye to all of our guests and friends that we see on the dock every day. As we prepare for the five month hiatus from ferrying passengers to and from Mackinac Island, we want you to know that we have some great improvements in store for you in 2019.
Improvements
On November 1st, we will be continuing the Mackinac Island dock remodel project. We will be sharing updates with you throughout the off-season on Facebook. So, if you haven’t already liked our page, now is the time to do it to keep up-to-date on this exciting project.
By summer of 2019, all of our overnight parking lots will be paved, our day lot on Nicolet will be completed with shuttle stops and the new gateway, and there will be more parking improvements in St. Ignace. We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for you next year.
In the mean-time, watch for a special announcement about 2019 tickets and gift cards within the next couple of weeks.
New Office Hours
Now that the navigation season has ended, our office hours have changed to 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday. For our freight customers, we are still carrying supplies to the Island. If you have freight that needs to be delivered to the Island, please call 906-643-9440 to make arrangements.
Have a great winter, and we will see you in April for the start of our 74th season!
