Shepler’s will be offering special direct departures for the Labor Day Bridge Walk.
Many changes have been made to the Labor Day Bridge Walk this year. We suggest checking out all of the new rules at mackinacbridge.org. The biggest change is that you will only be able to walk the entire bridge if you reach the midpoint by 10:00 am and have your own transportation waiting for you on the other side.
That is where we offer the solution. Take our direct departure from St. Ignace to Mackinaw City prior to starting the walk and end up back in St. Ignace for an easy departure home. See below for schedule.
6:30 am – Direct Departure from St. Ignace to Mackinaw City
$20.00 per adult
$10.00 per child (ages 5-12)
Free for children under 5 years of age.
Tickets available in-person at the ticket office starting at 6:00 a.m. There are a limited number of tickets available. Buy early to be assured a ticket. We will have general boarding and the capacity of the boat will dictate how many tickets can be sold.
We will not have ground transportation from our Mackinaw City Dock to the base of bridge. (It is about a 1 mile walk.) When you arrive at the north end of the bridge, you can take a shuttle to Little Bear Arena and walk the two blocks to our dock to pick up your vehicle, if you parked with us.
If you wish to walk the bridge and then take the boat to the Island and back to your starting city, you can purchase a regular round trip ferry ticket and make stop at the Island on your way back.
These tickets are non-refundable.
