2024 Labor Day Bridge Walk

Looking to walk the Mackinac Bridge this Labor Day but need transportation? Shepler’s can help! By purchasing one roundtrip ticket guests can boat-hop between Mackinaw City and St. Ignace while enjoying a stop at Mackinac Island on the way! We will be running our schedule as printed in our 2024 brochure, starting at 6:30am out of Mackinaw City and St. Ignace.

Shepler’s roundtrip tickets are not assigned to a port at the time of purchase. Guests can depart from either mainland port, go to Mackinac Island, and return to the other mainland port on one roundtrip ticket.

Little Bear East Arena:
Offering Special Event Parking from 5am – 11am .
$5 per vehicle CASH ONLY.

Northern Transportation: (906) 430-5337
Offering continuous shuttle service from Little Bear East Arena beginning at 6:30am. $10 per person CASH ONLY. No reservations.

This will not change the operation of Shepler’s St. Ignace Ground  Shuttle Transportation. Shepler’s will continue picking up guests who are traveling to Mackinac Island from the local hotels in St. Ignace to our dock.

Guests who would like to park close to the Mackinac Bridge and start their walk from Mackinaw City may park with us in Lot 3 for $20 CASH ONLY per passenger vehicle and $30 CASH ONLY per truck w/trailer or RV. Shepler’s guests, who are traveling with us on Labor Day (must show valid ticket), may either park for free in Lot 1 at 311 S. Nicolet St. Mackinaw City or pay $20/$30 to park in Lot 3 close to the Mackinac Bridge start. Parking is limited, and no advanced reservations will be accepted. Parking will open at 4:30am Monday, September 2, 2024. Directions to Lot 3 are above.

**Please remember there is limited ground transportation to the start of the bridge in  Mackinaw City and St. Ignace such as previous years.  Guests must organize their own transportation from Shepler’s dock to the Mackinac Bridge.  Please visit mackinacbridge.org for more information.**
