April 20, 2021: St. Ignace
Did you know Shepler’s Mackinac Island Ferry has TWO mainland ports? WE DO! One port is in Mackinaw City and the other is in St. Ignace! If we are talking about operations, St. Ignace and Mackinaw City port operations run as smooth as butter in both places! Size of the operation however, is significant. Mackinaw City is Shepler’s main port, but don’t count out the little brother in the UP, they do everything just as well as Mackinaw City. If you are looking for some new scenery, try the other port!
April 13, 2021: Mackinaw City Day Parking
Going to Mackinac Island for the day? Departing from Mackinaw City? Here are a few tips that will help along the way! Shepler’s offers free day parking at either port location. While St. Ignace parking is all on site, Mackinaw City has a mainstream operation getting all of our guests to the dock from our offsite free Day Lot.
When departing out of Mackinaw City, continue to our Day Lot at 311 S. Nicolet St. Once parked find one of our Shepler Shuttle Stops where a complimentary shuttle will pick Guests up and head to the Ferry docks. Our complimentary shuttles are labeled in Shepler’s Blue and White and hard to miss – we have multiple shuttle busses and trams making continuous loops back and forth between the Day Lot and the Ferry Dock so guests won’t be late for an exciting ride to Mackinaw Island!
April 6, 2021: Reservations
When tickets are purchased online there is no need to make a reservation. Our tickets are open ended, therefor they are good for any departure until the season end on October 31! If purchasing tickets online, tickets will be sent via email confirmation and we will scan the tickets from your phone or printed receipt. Skip the ticket line and save time!
